This adorable pink vintage flower skirt is by "The Lilly", a sportswear division of Lilly Pulitzer. It's very soft and comfortable having been worn in, but in excellent condition.
We were inspired a few years back when we went to the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum of on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, NY. The exhibit included original watercolor drawings by Suzie Zuzek, a staff designer for Key West Hand Print Fabrics, where Pulitzer sourced most of her fabrics between 1960-80. Zuzek’s prolific imagination fueled Pulitzer’s runaway success. The unexpected combination of classic sportswear styling with playful, eclectic patterns defined a uniquely American style, often spotted on fashion icons such as First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
